Guidance & Student Services

Please help us welcome our new guidance counselor, Shaylynn (Shay) Brandl! Shay comes to us with 11 years of experience as a middle school counselor. Her most recent experience was in Greeley/Evans School District 6 at Brentwood Middle School. During her time as a counselor, she has gained experience coordinating things like MTSS, 504s, WEB, and Sources of Strength. According to her references, Shay brings strength in working with students and families and does a great job building strong relationships with everyone she works with. We are excited to have her join our team; welcome Shay!

"Hi, my name is Shaylynn (Shay) Brandl, and I am SO excited to be at Windsor Middle School (WMS) this year! Although I am new to WMS-GO Wizards!- This is my 12th year as a Middle School Counselor. I graduated from Colorado State University (proud to be a C-S-U RAM!) with my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and Women's Studies. After several years of working with teens in the community, I went back for my Master's Degree in School Counseling. Since graduating I have worked in Greeley, Fort Collins, now Windsor and I absolutely love working with middle school students. Please feel free to reach out with any struggles you may be facing or just stop by to say hello- I love that too. Let's have a great year!

In the counseling department, we are implementing the National Model from the American School Counselor Association. We strive to meet students' needs in these domains: academic, personal/social, and career. We deliver class guidance lessons, facilitate small groups, and meet with students individually."
